    • Position idlers, pulleys, reducers and other gearing components on framework of equipment.

    • Install electric/hydraulic vibrators and associated hose kits to screen boxes.
    • Position screen box in proper alignment to bolt on to the framework of equipment.
    • Install all other necessary components to complete equipment.
    • Start engine and run equipment for a designated time to ensure proper functioning of equipment; engine running properly, hydraulic pumps, hydraulic/electric vibrators, cylinders, and gearing are functioning properly.
    • Working area to be kept free of excessive debris, such as wooden pallets and cardboard boxes.  Area is to be swept and debris discarded at end of each shift.
    • All duties must be performed in compliance with Astec Mobile Screens policies relating to safety and housekeeping.

    Essential Qualifications

    • Perform work standing on concrete up to 12 hours a day.
    • Must be able to work in various positions including squatting, bending and reaching.  (Temporary variance may be accommodated based on employee’s primary assignment.)

    Primary Job Duties

    • Read and follow job order specifications and blueprints.
    • Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
    • Set up and operate thermal cutting machine which cut metal plates and structural shapes to dimensions, contour and bevel specified by blueprints, layouts, work orders, and templates.
    • Lifts, positions and clamps metal stock onto bed of machine.
    • Connects hoses from torch to regulator valves and cylinders of oxygen and fuel gas, such as acetylene, hydrogen, or propane.
    • Selects torch tip and computes gas pressure and mixture, and speed of cut, according to type and thickness of metal, data charts, or record of previous cuts. 
    • Installs tip to torch, pushes button to adjust sliding arm from side or overhead carriage to position torch over cutting line and to adjust height of head over work piece to make longitudinal cuts.
    • Adjusts length of radial arm to cut out arcs or circles.
    • Tilts angle of torch to cut bevels.
    • Pushes buttons and reads gauges to obtain selected gas pressure and mixture and set speed of cutting action.
    • Pushes button to automatically light torch, preheat metal to oxidizing temperature and open valve to release additional oxygen to cut through metal.
    • Pushes button to automatically position torch at cutting line and to start machine moving along line.
    • Maintain records of operating data.
    • Scrap slag off all parts coming off plasma table.
    • All duties must be performed in compliance with Astec Mobile Screens policies relating to safety and housekeeping.

    The Staff Accountant position will assist the Controller with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing by preparing and posting journal entries, analyzing general ledger accounts and performing monthly reconciliations and any other necessary documentation.  The Staff Accountant will also provide support for various internal and external audit requests.

    Primary Job Duties

    Painting

    • Respirators must be visually inspected prior to each use and do a seal check.  The respirators should be cleaned and disinfected prior to each use, if shared by more than one employee.  Maintenance of respirators and its filters is also required.  Respirators should be stored in a safe and clean location.
    • Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
    • Maintain level of work performance in accordance with Astec Mobile Screens Quality Control Standards and/or job order specifications.
    • Clean grease and dirt from component(s) using materials, such as acetone, soap and water or by scraping or sanding.
