Drive efficiency needs to be taken into consideration to determine the motor HP required. This can be an additional 10-15% above the headshaft HP. The ability to start a loaded conveyor will also require additional HP consideration.

Belt Width

Fines are defined as material with a size that is less than 10% of the maximum material size of the sample.

Belt width recommendations are based on a belt speed of 350 fpm and 80% of maximum volumetric belt carrying capacity.

Capacity is based on a material density of 100 pounds per cubic ft, 37.5 degree angle of repose material and 3-roll, 35 degree idlers.
