POSITION: MARKETING ASSOCIATE
DEPARTMENT: SALES & MARKETING
REPORTS TO: MARKETING MANAGER
DATE: DECEMBER 1, 2005
Basic Function
Performs a wide range of marketing support functions such as assisting with and maintaining product and parts marketing programs, web site programs, dealer training programs, customer data base programs, customer events, trade shows, and promotional programs to enhance our position within the industries we serve.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Plan and produce promotional articles to support the on-line media programs (e-Connection and In-Spec) and all company communications/publications.
2. Develops and/or prepares presentation materials: writes and edits promotional and sales tool products as assigned. Implements and maintains editorial policies and standards.
3. Consult on literature and advertisement content, creativity and accuracy in association with the Advertising Manager.
4. Coordinate case study program requirements and schedules with the writer(s) as assigned.
5. Create and maintain the on-line media programs utilizing (HTML) including content such as: parts manuals, operator’s manuals, parts pricing and availability, dealer co-op reporting, literature, specification sheets, service manuals, dealer training materials, marketing and promotional programs and or performs other internet related tasks as assigned.
6. Coordinate industry data into marketing reports and maintain their periodic distribution.
7. Coordinate and maintain a dynamic customer data base including existing and potential leads within SalesLogix®.
8. Coordinate and implement marketing programs in association with the Marketing Manager as assigned including campaign development.
9. Coordinate and implement dealer training programs in association with the Marketing Manager as assigned including the preparation of training materials.
10. All other duties as assigned.
Education Requirement
A Bachelor’s Degree in marketing and/or 4 years of experience within the marketing field.
Essential Qualifications
1. Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
2. Ability to lead and train staff.
3. Ability to create and produce materials using a range of media, methods, techniques and equipment.
4. Skills in accessing internet information services.
5. Skills in design and/or maintaining web pages.
6. Ability to provide formal and informal instruction to technical and non-technical personnel in the use of computer hardware and software.
7. Ability to compose information into targeted articles and materials.
8. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
9. Perform work in an office environment with minor exposure to industrial noise, fumes, smoke, etc.
10. Ability to climb stairs and maneuver in congested, heavy manufacturing environment.
11. Willing to travel by air and auto.
