POSITION: REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

Basic Function
Responsible for the sale of Kolberg-Pioneer, Inc. (KPI) and Johnson Crushers International (JCI) products in a specified territory per plan and within budget.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Plan and manage sales efforts in the assigned territory per plan and within budget.
2. Manage the business relationship with dealers, including review of performance to ensure all market segments are serviced.
3. Maintain direct contact with certain major accounts within the territory.
4. Confer with Sales Manager, participating in the development of sales policy, recommending product and product line revisions as well as pricing changes.
5. Prepare annual sales forecasts and participate in the determination of market potential, market share, and in the preparation of sales estimates for the assigned territory.
6. Select and develop distributors, dealers and other outlets. Recognize and recommend cancellation of dealers not meeting goals.
7. Confer with Marketing Manager in executing special projects and programs.
8. Coordinate and manage parts sales in the region per plan as agreed to by Parts Sales Manager.
Essential Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing, or equivalent experience in sales or distribution management preferable.
2. Adaptable to using different types of computer equipment and software, as well as operate general office equipment including phone, calculator, photocopier, fax machine, etc. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel preferable.
3. Ability to work well with others and demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.
4. Good reasoning abilities and negotiation skills.
5. Well-organized.
6. Willing to travel by air and auto frequently.
7. Must reside in or be willing to relocate to designated territory at his/her expense if necessary.
8. Must be able to obtain a passport if necessary.
9. Must have financial means to travel when required. Approved expenses will be reimbursed.
10. Must have a valid driver’s license.
11. Required to carry $100,000/$300,000 liability insurance coverage on any personal vehicle used for company business.
Essential Functions
Required to visit construction, quarry, and industrial sites with exposure to dust, noise, and weather elements, occasional climbing required, etc.
